Be Here Now

All your past except its beauty is gone, and nothing is left but a blessing.
~ A Course in Miracles

How weighty the past seems to be. We carry that baggage wherever we go, and it colors all our encounters.

There are so many powerful lines in A Course in Miracles that talk about the unreality of the past. Perhaps none so striking as this: “The past is over. It can touch me not.

I particularly like today’s quote: “All your past except its beauty is gone, and nothing is left but a blessing.” We don’t need to let the past define us. And we don’t need to let the past depress us.

We can take the blessing from what its learning offers us and gratefully be present in this moment – free from all worry and sadness.

Let’s be here now.
