Complaining is Madness

When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness.
~ Eckhart Tolle

It’s so easy to point the accusing finger – either at others for disappointing us, the world in general for its challenges, or even at ourselves for not measuring up.

None of those are helpful.

Whatever is going on in our world “is as it is”. Complaining is just fighting against the reality of the situation.

That doesn’t mean that we don’t take action to affect change. But first, it is helpful to get to that quiet center within. That place of non-judgment. That place of non-attachment to outcome. That place of peace.

Once we are there, whatever is most helpful for the situation will automatically flow through us.
