Holy Encounters
We categorize people based on what we think about them. Those we like or admire rank higher than the ones we despise. We consider some people to be “good energy” and others to be a drag on our state of joy.
Yet there is no difference between anybody. Only in our judgment.
Everyone is the same. The superficial differences of form don’t matter. We are all one.
And when we can see the sameness in everybody – the spirit of oneness that unites us all – then we recognize each person as they truly are. From A Course in Miracles:
“When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him you will see yourself. As you treat him you will treat yourself. As you think of him you will think of yourself. Never forget this, for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself.”
True vision sees everyone in the same light, and each experience is instantly transformed from one of judgment to one of joy.
