Listening to Speak
Nobody is more persuasive than a good listener.
Whenever I’m interacting with someone – either one-on-one or in group environments – and I find myself itching to share a particular thought, I know that I’m not truly listening to them. I’m anxiously awaiting a pause so that I can articulate my thought. Which really means I’m totally with my ego and disrespecting others.
Listening to absorb, consider, and connect is far more effective and empowering than listening to speak.
Who can you be a better listener for?
